Benidorm Fest 2024 closes all positions for the grand final that will be held on February 3. The second semi-final of this competition brought together Almácor, st. Pedro Dellacruz, Jorge González, María Peláe, MARLENA, Roger Padrós and Yoly Saa at the L’Illa Sports Palace to aspire to accompany the already classified Nebulossa, Angy Fernández, Sofía Coll and Miss Caffeina.
Only four of these artists could achieve the desired pass to the final, moving one step closer to the dream of succeeding Blanca Paloma in Eurovision. But the second semi-final has not been able to avoid the sharp opinions of the spectators, who have agreed that the level is quite weak: “she seems to me to be tacky without any sense.”

Jorge González, highly criticized throughout the days leading up to the Benidorm Fest, has continued to accumulate negative comments, especially regarding his attitude. “Jorge’s ego is one thing…” one said; while another has assured that it makes him “grim” to see the artist. However, there has also been a part of the audience that has applauded his proposal: “It was the most elaborate staging.”
In this second semi-final there have been very few performances that have managed to resonate with the public. So some viewers have wondered what kind of filters artists go through to appear at Benidorm Fest: “Hey, are these really the best among 800 proposals? But what are they based on, it’s going to give me something.” Another has assured that this year “90% of the songs and performances are being faked.” “We have a problem with the proposals and the execution at a visual level,” lamented another.
