José Luis Martínez-Almeida and Teresa Urquijo are just two months away from the most important day of their lives. The mayor of Madrid and the Madrid analyst announced several weeks ago what was an open secret: their commitment. And after two years of relationship and a very discreet courtship, the couple will say ‘I do’ on April 6 in a religious ceremony, as revealed by the gossip magazine Semana.
Likewise, the aforementioned media confirmed that the subsequent celebration was going to take place at the ‘El canto de la cruz’ estate, property of the bride’s family and located in the Madrid municipality of Colmenar Viejo, on the outskirts of Madrid.
And although the future couple is trying to carry out their wedding with the utmost discretion, little by little different information has come to light about what will undoubtedly be one of the great weddings of the year. One of the information that has attracted the most attention has been that of the wedding dress. And the journalist Kike Calleja assured in the Telecinco program Vamos a Ver that the future wife of the mayor of Madrid was going to wear the dress that her grandmother wore at her own wedding.
”It is a modified suit and she has taken it to have some changes made to the Cristina Navascués Atelier. It is a silver-colored embroidered fabric,” said Kike Calleja. Regarding the groom’s suit, the Telecinco collaborator confirmed that Almeida had chosen to have his morning suit made at the Serna Tailor Shop.
But this has not been the only information that has emerged about the future wedding between Almeida and Teresa Urquijo. This past Thursday, Ana Rosa Quintana’s program gave new information about the marriage proposal, which took place on January 27. According to the Telecinco program, the mayor of Madrid gave his future wife a bouquet of 72 red roses, valued at 350 euros, and the Madrid analyst gave him a watch.
Furthermore, according to journalist Aurelio Manzano, the mayor’s family would have had another detail with the bride: the ring and earrings for the big day. The proposal was held at the ‘Los Molinillos’ farm, property of Teresa Urquijo’s paternal grandmother and 25 kilometers from the capital.
