A few minutes ago the grand final of Benidorm Fest 2024 took place. The stadium is still full and the chants of the different songs resonate throughout the venue. In turn, people from all over Spain have gathered in the streets of the Valencian city to enjoy the musical event of the year in this country.

A gala that has resulted in the victory of Nebulossa. Seducing the jury and the public, the singer has obtained 86 votes from the professional team, 30 from the demoscopic vote and 40 from the televoting. Which translates into 156 total votes, being one of the highest scores of the three editions.

As soon as the result was known, an exultant Blanca Paloma, winner in 2023, burst onto the scene to shouts and applause from everyone present. And she has been in charge of giving the baton, and therefore the bronze microphone, to the new winners.

With this, it will be the duo formed by María Bas and Mark Dasousa who will have to pack their bags to travel to Malmö (Sweden) to participate in the next edition of Eurovision on May 11. An important task for which you must prepare in the coming months and polish some technical and scenic aspects to bring the best possible to Europe.

The group has managed to convince with their performance with their anthem “zorra, zorra, zorra”. Nebulossa has brought their song Zorra, which has become a hit, to the grand final, much more confident than in their semi-final. A song that has made them achieve victory with 156 points.

In second place, and very close to victory, was St. Pedro with 139 votes, which thrilled everyone present with Two Strangers. His interpretation, his voice, and the careful and minimalist staging have caused the audience present to be totally silent during several parts of his performance. Something that was broken in the final moment, when the entire stadium was surrounded by great applause.

And the podium was closed by Angy Fernández. The singer has achieved third place with 128 points. With the rocker I Know Who I Am, who was an actress in Physics or Chemistry, she has put together a performance at the Eurovision level.

He was followed in fourth position by Jorge González, who set the entire stage on fire with Caliente, the song with which he fought for first place. His dancebreak has been quite a rush within the sports center. Moment in which the screams have deafened the performance. Even though he made a mistake in the letter, he has scored 124 points.

Almácor has made the entire Palau d’Esports l’Illa in Benidorm dance with its platinum Brillos. The singer has achieved one of the most acclaimed performances inside the stadium thanks to his theme, his way of being and the chosen lighting. Even so, he left the stage angry after seeing that one of the most important parts of his song had failed: the final fire. Despite everything, he has achieved fifth place with 99 points.

Achieving sixth place, María Peláe brought the audience to their feet with her performance as Remitente, a bit of history in which she wanted to remember the ‘Desbandá’. In the middle of a cemetery of illuminated crosses, his dancers have staged his fall into a pit. A pack that has achieved 86 votes.

Sofía Coll has managed to solve the problems she encountered with her staging in the first semi-final and has shone brighter than ever. Especially because of her diamond-encrusted outfit. The Catalan has performed Here to stay, one of the most listened to songs, and one of the most risky staging. She has achieved a seventh place with 73 points.

Miss Caffeina barely made it to the grand final, but has managed to defend her place in the gala. The well-known group has achieved 69 points and an eighth place with their song Bla, blah, blah.

At the same time, the gala has also been enlivened by various out-of-competition performances. Ruth Lorenzo opened her final by performing Dancing in the Rain just 10 years after her participation in Eurovision 2014. The Malaga native achieved tenth place, tying for ninth. This was one of the best results achieved by her in recent years. And, how could it be otherwise, the stage has collapsed with her performance and her powerful voice.

Abraham Mateo has been another of the guests, putting on a show that has lifted up the audience. Although if there is a group that has made the entire stadium explode, it has been Camela. The singers have performed When Love Sails, bringing a little piece of history to Benidorm.

Now, we will have to wait until next May to see Nebulossa take its Zorra to all of Europe. A topic that, without a doubt, will not leave anyone indifferent.
