The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has expressed his satisfaction with the choice of the song Zorra de Nebulossa to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest and has taken the opportunity to bring up the concept of “fachosphere” that he coined a few days ago in a interview in La Vanguardia.
Interviewed in the ARV program on La Sexta, Sánchez assured that “the fachosphere would have liked to have Cara al sol but I like this type of songs better”, as a response to the criticism for the provocative use of the word Zorra which the song title alludes to.
The Chief Executive, who described the song as provocative, said that “feminism is not only fair but it is fun” and added that “this type of provocation necessarily has to come from culture.” In the end he is talking about things that I believe a vast majority of women and men share. “It is real and effective equality between men and women,” he said.
The duo from Ondara (Alicante) formed by María Bas and Mark Dasousa will represent Spain at Eurovision 2024 in May in the city of Malmö (Sweden) with this feminist anthem that made its way into the Benidorm Fest final. “We have redefined the word slut,” defended Bas, who declared herself a proud “super slut” after winning the contest.
