The furry ones soon become our loyal friends and faithful companions with whom we share walks, adventures and other unforgettable moments. So, when they leave us, we suffer an immense emptiness, difficult to explain for people who don’t have a dog at home.

When our dogs die it is inevitable to remember everything we did with them and the places we visited over and over again. And some go to the same places when they have left us.

At least, that’s how a young woman wanted to pay tribute to her border collie with whom she used to visit a park full of cherry trees, among which she enjoyed every afternoon, especially in spring, in full bloom.

“It was something we had done every year together. After she passed away, I thought I would never be able to go see the cherry blossoms again on my own. But with her it was different,” he writes in an emotional Instagram post .

“I really should have known that she would never leave me here alone,” continues the young woman, who also shares a touching video, in which they are both seen running and jumping between the cherry trees on one of those spring afternoons.

And he says goodbye to her with some heartfelt words: “If she were a season, she would be spring. A promise to me that no matter how bad things get, spring will always come back.”
