Paul McCartney fans are in luck. The British Car Auction House

This is the bus that Paul McCartney used in 1972 to go on tour with the band Wings, after the dissolution of The Beatles. This psychedelic vehicle has a very striking design, and will go up for auction today, April 22.

After leaving behind his role as a ‘Beatle’, McCartney decided to form the group Wings with his wife, Linda McCartney, drummer Denny Seiwell and guitarist Denny Laine. The group began their musical adventure in 1972, hitting the road with this popular bus.

With him they toured nine European countries, becoming one of the band. McCartney chose to open the top floor, a detail that would allow them to give an impromptu concert: “If we are going to be in Europe in the summer, going to places like the south of France, it is silly to spend all day in a small box panting, “so we came up with the idea of ??having a kind of open top deck,” said the singer.

In order to make it even more personal, the singer adapted it to his taste, painting it with a psychedelic paint and all kinds of designs. As for its interior, Paul decided to equip it with yellow curtains and wooden bunk beds.

Its engine is a 7-liter 5LW Gardner diesel with a four-speed transmission, so it does not stand out for its speed. Of course, the band Wings was able to travel more than 11,000 kilometers in it.

After being restored, the vehicle has a trunk of memories, becoming a pop culture icon; It is not surprising that some collector pays between 175,000 and 235,000 euros for it.
