La Moderna has managed to establish itself in the afternoons of La 1 after its premiere last September. A series that revolves around the life of those in charge of a tea shop in the capital. However, now the entire team is mourning the death of one of its members: assistant director Alfredo Alba, at 53 years old.

And the world of the audiovisual industry is very broad in this country, so much so that any role within the productions is essential. For this reason, it is not surprising that there are many who miss their partner. And they themselves have published an emotional farewell letter.

“Today we say goodbye to our friend Alfredo, whom we will always remember for his professionalism and his eternal sense of humor,” they published on the official X (Twitter) account of fiction. A hard blow that they assure is going to change everything, although they will continue to do it “the best” they can. Some lines that they wanted to end with “See you always, mate.”

But they are not the only ones who have wanted to speak out. “Goodbye Alfredo. All our love and support to his family and friends,” said the Boomerang TV account, producer of the series.

It seems that Alfredo Alba was very loved in the profession, since the messages of affection have not stopped. “We regret to inform you of the death of Alfredo Alba, professor of ‘Directing Assistantship’ in our Diplomas,” they reported from the Madrid Film Institute.

“Alfredo was a brilliant professional with outstanding participation in series such as Vis a vis and Águila Roja. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends,” they added. And it is exactly because of his role as a teacher that he has also received several farewells on social media.

Upon seeing the news on social networks, several students, or former students, of Alba wanted to speak out. “I say goodbye from here to Alfredo, the teacher who taught me how to get fun out of the Assistant Director’s Office,” said one. “One of the teachers I remember most fondly from my time at school,” added another.

Alberto Alba began his professional career 20 years ago, and in this time he has helped on numerous successful series. One step forward, My adorable neighbors, Anclados or De boca en boca, have been some of the productions in which he has worked as assistant director.

Family Doctor, Acacias 38 or Águila Roja are other fictions where Alba has helped throughout her career. And this 2024 was her time to jump in front of the cameras, with her appearance in Vicente Bonet’s debut film, Sputnik, playing Socrates. A film that will soon be released and that will remain in the memory of her loved ones.
