The Super Bowl is an event for sports lovers but not only for them: fans of popular culture have as their attraction the musical spectacle of the half and, with a little luck, stellar commercials. You just have to look at the Uber Eats ad, which has brought together Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer but possibly not in the way Friends nostalgics expected.

And, when you read that they are reunited, one thinks that they will resort to romanticism. As Rachel Green and Ross Geller they had one of the funniest romantic dynamics in television history: between 1994 and 2004 they were the most iconic fictional couple.

However, in this ad, Aniston does not even mention Schwimmer because, in order to remember the food delivery company, her memory of filming Friends was erased.

“Do we know each other?” asks a cautious Jennifer Aniston when she sees that David Schwimmer wants to give her a hug. “We worked together for ten years,” she answers. “As if I were going to forget ten years of my life,” the actress tells herself when she leaves her former partner in fiction.

They aren’t the only stars to appear in the ad. David and Victoria Beckham also make an appearance, having forgotten about the existence of the Spice Girls. “Do you remember when you were a Pepper Lady?” the ex-footballer asks.

Usher, responsible for musically entertaining the Super Bowl audience, makes a cameo at the end: “I hope I can sing in the halftime sometime.”
