A little more than half a month has passed since the official merger between Orange and MásMovil and the first major strategic move is here. The new Masorange has opted for an expert in the consumer sector to boost the business.

This is Víctor del Pozo, who was the first CEO of El Corte Inglés between October 2017 and March 2022. As announced by the leading company in the telecommunications market in Spain, Del Pozo will serve as general director of Innovation. Alliances and New services to “ensure that the Company is at the forefront of new businesses, reinforces its capacity for innovation and develops its collaboration with the most important companies in the world to offer the best services to companies, public administrations and end clients” .

Among its challenges will be to scale business volume in areas such as green energy, consumer financing, insurance or alarms in addition to designing new products and services, always ensuring their quality and usability so that customers continue to be the most satisfied in the market. To this end, “he will also create a team dedicated to promoting innovation capacity at Masorange that will be in charge of identifying new opportunities and market trends thanks to the use of all the technology available in the company to add value to customers. This team will work closely with other areas of the company such as networks and systems and with other leading companies to guarantee the integration of new solutions with existing services,” they say from Masorange.

Del Pozo will also be responsible for branding the company’s products within the OpenGateway platform that allows the integration of third-party services within 5G and the development of customized solutions for business clients. This will facilitate collaboration with external partners and the creation of new and broader business ecosystems.

Finally, it will establish strategic alliances with the world’s most important companies in various sectors to develop joint solutions that meet the specific needs of business clients and public administrations.

The new General Management headed by Víctor del Pozo will report to Germán López, director of operations of the Group, and will integrate the New Business area, led by Alberto Galaso, who amplifies his responsibilities by assuming the position of Deputy General Director of Innovation, Alliances and New Services .
