Manu Sánchez’s life took a radical turn last May when he publicly announced that he had been diagnosed with testicular germ cell cancer and that he had to undergo chemotherapy treatment for approximately three months.

”The news that I would never have wanted to publish: I HAVE CANCER. I am afraid and above all I have a lot of things much more powerful than cancer and fear combined: I have science, medicine, hope, strength, friends, family and luck… I am very lucky to have everything I have. A perfect life that has only just begun,’ he declared through his social networks.

Since then, the 38-year-old comedian from Seville has been immersed in treatment with the unconditional support of his wife, Lorena Sánchez, and their two children. But it seems that his fight against cancer has borne fruit and in his last public appearance he revealed that the treatment was working.

”I am in the process of healing, it seems that the complicated curves have passed, but we keep looking in the rearview mirror because the bad guy may come from behind again and we have to be prepared,” declared the comedian. The big news came a few weeks before his long-awaited television wedding with Lorena Sánchez on Bertín Osborne’s Canar Sur program, El Show de Bertín.

For this reason, the Sevillian comedian is going through one of his best moments since he was diagnosed with cancer and this was demonstrated in his last public appearance before the media. Manu Sánchez attended as godfather the Conference against Gynecological Cancer held in Coria del Río (Seville), where he received an award for making the fight against cancer visible.

On the occasion of his recovery, the comedian did not hesitate to send a realistic and hopeful message about the disease. ”I think that making it visible is almost an obligation, there is no point in doing the opposite (…) I decided together with those around me to tell what there was so that what was not there would not be told,” he declared before the EuropaPress microphones. .

In addition, the comedian also wanted to comment on King Carlos III’s cancer. ”It is something that can only be positive, it shows that no one is free from being diagnosed with cancer because this does not understand social class. The high-profile case, like that of King Charles III, shows us that we all have to be alert to cancer, we all need research
