The investigating judge of the procés case in the Supreme Court, Pablo Llarena, charged him with a crime of disobedience for promoting and supporting the parliamentary initiatives that led to the approval of the disconnection laws in September 2017, despite multiple warnings. of the Constitutional Court.
However, in his statement before the High Court Gabriel explained that on those dates, from July to September 2017, he did not receive any request from the Constitutional Court warning him that he could not promote any parliamentary initiative aimed at developing regulations for the independence of Catalonia. .
