The candidate for the PSdeG for the Presidency of the Xunta, José Ramón Gómez Besteiro, and the leader of the Catalan socialists, Salvador Illa, learned this summer in Ourense to knead ears, one of the typical postres of the Gallego entroido.
After Illa visited Vigo early this Friday morning, the two socialist politicians traveled to Ourense to start the day at the Coto restaurant, where they learned how to make this traditional Galician sweet together with Malena Iglesias and Pilar Losada . All this, within the framework of the recording of a podcast for the digital channel OU ké!.
Once the dough is made with flour, lemon, anise, egg, butter and yeast and after the mixture has rested for a while, both of them, dressed in a maroon apron, have learned to stretch and knead this sweet that is later fried in sunflower oil.
During the preparation and appeals about what is more difficult, politics or the preparation of this sweet, Illa made it clear that “everything has its difficulty.”
Furthermore, the former Minister of Health, who is participating this morning in a meeting with health groups in the city, has assured that he sees Besteiro as “strong” in this race to the polls that will culminate on February 18, in view of what he envisions “a real possibility of change.”
For his part, the socialist candidate to lead San Caetano has also been optimistic and has assured that the socialists will even “get better.”
