Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello have everything ready to divorce permanently. According to legal documents that came to light last Friday, February 9, obtained by PEOPLE, the couple has reached a mutual agreement to end their marriage.
This important understanding means that both have found a point of consensus on the division of their assets and other aspects related to their marriage. This step forward indicates that the divorce process is moving forward without disputes.
The couple, who married in November 2015 in a ceremony held at the luxurious Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, announced their separation in July 2023 through a joint statement, after seven years of union. Just two days after this announcement, Manganiello formally began divorce proceedings, citing “irreconcilable differences” and mentioning an existing prenuptial agreement between them.
One of the most delicate and relevant topics surrounding their separation was told by Vergara in an interview with El País. In this sense, the actress mentioned that the differences over the idea of ??expanding the family were decisive for her divorce. It would be this point that would have made the actor decide to take the step to end his marriage.
Apparently, while Manganiello wanted to have children, Vergara, who is already the mother of Manolo from her previous marriage to Joe González, showed her desire not to be a mother at such an advanced age, prioritizing her current life stage and her hope of becoming a grandmother.
Neither of them has wasted any time since it was announced that they were going to separate. Both one and the other have moved on with their lives on a sentimental level.
On the one hand, Manganiello has started a relationship with actress Caitlin O’Connor, and Vergara has been seen on several dates with orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman.
