An amateur driver, Andrea Bergamelli, 35, lost his life this Saturday at noon on the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Cheste after suffering a serious accident.

The deceased, a native of the Italian town of Torre Boldone, next to Bergamo, participated in the Gully Racing timed series, aimed at amateur drivers.

As reported by the Cheste circuit, Bergamelli was involved in a multiple accident on the straight, was treated on the track by medical services and died minutes later at the track’s medical center.

The Ricardo Tormo circuit deeply regrets the loss of Andrea Bergamelli and extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends and the Gully Racing organization.
