Victorian collar-type necklaces full of crystals, belts made with small mirrors and bangles that take you back to ancient Egypt. Sach Atelier jewelry is easy to recognize due to its unique personality. Behind their designs hide three young entrepreneurs from Madrid willing to revolutionize the jewelry industry.
Lola (23), Alejandra (25) and Manuela (27) are cousins ??and have shared the same goal since they were children: starting their own company in the fashion industry. Through trial and error, these three young women found a niche in jewelry and in a few years they have become one of the most popular brands on Instagram.
“We started completely from scratch, in a more homemade way and involved in the entire process, so you could say that we have been growing with the brand,” explains Manuela, a certified publicist and staunch fashion lover. She was one of the first founders of the brand along with Alejandra, a fashion designer. “My mother had a fashion brand called Flamenco and she helped us a little to make the brand official,” she admits. Shortly after, Lola, a fine arts student and the third cousin in contention, arrived: “each one contributed a little of her knowledge and in 2022 we founded the brand,” she explains.
In less than two years, Sach Atelier pieces have found their way into the jewelry boxes of celebrities such as the model Alice Campello, Laura Matamoros, the singer Marta Sanchez or the ‘Elite’ actress Martina Cariddi. Its secret lies in the materials. “We wanted to find materials that the rest of the brands were not using and we found mirrors, some crystals and even stones,” reveals Lola to which Manuela adds that when designing they always think first about what they would like to wear. “Sometimes we pick up a book about jewelry, we see how the pieces have evolved and we find inspiration in other times,” Alejandra remarks.
And craftsmanship is in the DNA of this brand with a Spanish seal. “You will not see two identical pieces. Even if we wanted to make them that way, we couldn’t because our pieces are made by hand, artisanally, and that is a bit of the essence of the brand,” says Manuela. The jewels of this brand are easily recognizable. “We have given a lot of effort to the image and to finding a specific personality, a style,” highlight the three young entrepreneurs.
Romantic, elegant, imposing and daring. This is how they imagine the Sach atelier woman. The firm seeks in a certain way to break away from the norm and what is pre-established in jewelry: “when someone buys a piece of jewelry they normally seek to stand out and give it a specific personality in line with their own, in a certain way to differentiate themselves from the rest,” says Lola.
Despite being extreme and brilliant jewelry, the founders imagine their jewelry in everyday looks. “The idea is to elevate a basic look and give prominence to the jewel,” says Alejandra and Manuela reveals that without looking too hard they have also made a place for themselves at weddings: “we have even had a girlfriend and it is something that makes us very excited because we would never have imagined.”
Being part of generation Z, the founders of Sach Atelier cannot conceive of creating a brand without commitment to the environment and the local industry. “We are very aware of the problem of overproduction that exists in the fashion industry and that is why we work with the minimum possible stock or with pre-order. Now, for example, almost everything on our website is sold because we have had an unexpected avalanche of orders “Alejandra reveals.
This firm’s data corroborates its success: at the beginning of April they registered 1,500 orders in just one weekend and its most iconic necklace, the Rayo choker, sold out in less than 24 hours after being restocked. Throughout 2024, the firm has grown 2,000 percent in sales compared to the previous year and plans to “quadruple” billing this year.
