The contest, like every year, has featured public debate since its start last Tuesday, with tributes, more or less memorable recitals and, of course, specific controversies.

The most notable was starring the American actor John Travolta who, while visiting Sanremo as a guest, was encouraged to do the ‘little birds’ dance, visibly upset.

The Coldiretti consumer association has asked that an alleged case of hidden advertising be investigated given that the actor was wearing sneakers shown on camera while he danced his most famous moves, with the owner of the brand sitting in the front row.

Sanremo has also attended the return as a guest of the famous DJ Gigi D’Agostino, who played his most memorable songs after two years away from the public due to an illness that has not been clarified.

The Spanish singer Aitana also came to the Italian song festival to sing with Sangiovanni, author of one of her greatest hits, Farfalla, in Spanish, Mariposas.

The contest took place amid the protests of Italian farmers due to the crisis in their sector and their demands were read on the stage of the Ariston Theater by Amadeus, although they were not invited to appear.
