This Monday one of the most striking news of the beginning of the year broke out in the media specializing in the heart. Antonio Tejado, a well-known television collaborator and nephew of María del Monte, was arrested last Friday for his involvement in a Portuguese plot to rob houses in Seville. One of them, according to multiple sources, would have been that of the singer, one of the most uncomfortable incidents that occurred last summer.

Since early in the morning, multiple programs, magazines, talk shows and profiles on social networks have been attentive to any information that may become known about it. One of the most striking came this Monday afternoon And Now Sonsoles, the Antena 3 evening show presented by Sonsoles Ónega. Lorena Vázquez, from the podcast Las mamarazzis in El Periódico, has assured that María del Monte was aware of the situation.

According to her words, the Sevillian singer would have been informed by the Civil Guard that people close to her were involved, a detail that has been striking among the program’s collaborators. They insisted that the artist could not have imagined that she was someone as close as her nephew, in addition to revealing that Antena 3 had been aware of this fact since at least the end of November.

Vázquez and Laura Fa knew that Antonio Tejado could have been involved in the case since then, but the network decided to let the investigation proceed with its regular course due to the summary secrecy still present. “That investigation was ongoing,” indicated the podcast host, highlighting in turn the detail that was given to María del Monte. Likewise, they highlighted that Tejado refused to answer any related questions.

Tejado was arrested under the accusation of being the intellectual author of the robbery, being the person in charge of obtaining information about the distribution of the home, the location of the safe and the habits of the possible victims. In this sense, he would have chosen his aunt’s house and others for several months, including that of the Sevilla footballer, Sergio Ramos, which would have provided a way for the Civil Guard to carry out the arrest.

The singer seemed uncomfortable after her nephew’s arrest. “About five or so months ago we had the worst day of our lives. The suspicions are not good and I have not suspected nor do I suspect anyone until a judge says what he has to say,” she expressed this Monday, interviewed from her car by a team of reporters from Europa Press. Information about the case continues to arrive in dribs and drabs as the hours go by.
