The news of Antonio Tejado’s arrest has generated a great media stir in our country. Last Friday, the former Big Brother DUO and Survivors contestant was arrested along with seven other people as part of an operation against the robbery of different homes in the capital of Seville. According to what has been learned, one of the houses looted was that of his aunt, the singer María del Monte. The artist suffered a robbery at her house last summer while she and her partner were inside the home.

Among other accusations, Tejado was arrested for being the alleged intellectual author of the assault on his aunt’s house. According to the investigation, the television collaborator was in charge of obtaining information about the homes, the routines of his victims, etc. In addition to the robbery of the Cántame o Yo soy del sur interpreter’s home, this gang is also linked to the robbery suffered by soccer player Sergio Ramos and presenter Pilar Rubio at his residence.

As reported by the Superior Court of Justice of Andalusia (TSJA), the eight detained for this reason appeared before the head of the Court of Instruction 16 of Seville, who ordered the imprisonment of six of them (including Tejado) and the provisional release of the other two.

Days after the arrest, it has come to light how the accused experienced the moment he was taken to the Civil Guard barracks. “He sank, he cried like a child, he realized that he had no escape and he had to be treated,” journalist Carlos Quílez explained in detail yesterday on the Antena 3 program And Now Sonsoles.

The Atresmedia collaborator did not want to confirm that he had an ”anxiety attack”, but explained that he was really nervous and that it seemed that he had realized at that moment the serious legal case he was facing.

Carlos Quílez made it clear that Tejado was so shocked at the time of his arrest at the barracks that different medical professionals had to go, since he felt “bad” and “distressed.”

According to the TSJA, this case is investigating alleged crimes of illegal detention, injuries, robbery with violence, threats and membership in a criminal organization. Furthermore, last Monday, February 12, the Civil Guard reported that the alleged gang of thieves was preparing a new heist with which they hoped to obtain a loot of around one million euros.
