In circumstances that are now being investigated by the Traffic Group of the Civil Guard, the driver has lost control of the vehicle, which has flipped several times until it overturned on the side of the road.

His wife, also 83 years old, suffers chest trauma and a fracture in an arm and has been transferred to the 12 de Octubre Hospital, also with a serious prognosis.

Their daughter, 52 years old, has been treated – like the rest of the injured – by the Summa 112 health workers for a trauma to the hip and has been transferred to an ICU to La Paz, with a potentially serious prognosis.

After the accident, firefighters have cleaned the road to restore normal traffic.
