Despite the rumors that place him far from FC Barcelona, ??Robert Lewandowski has once again emphasized that he will not move from the Catalan capital. “I am very clear that I will continue at Barça. I want to win many things with Barcelona and I am sure that next season we can play harder and also win titles,” the forward acknowledged in an interview with Mundo Deportivo.

The 35-year-old footballer, who will play in the European Championship in Germany with his national team, has declared that he can continue playing at the highest level for two more seasons: “I don’t feel any different physically from three or four years ago, so at least two more years I can play at the highest level. If one day I see that I am not well, I will be the first to say it,” commented the former Bayern player.

Lewandowski has also revealed what factors have made Barça unable to compete for LaLiga this season: “We must always try to win, by a landslide and playing well because we are Barça. But it has to be done under control, from stability. To win LaLiga you have to have ambition, but also if you see that you can’t win, you have to control and try not to lose and add points,” said the Barça team’s top scorer.

In fact, the veteran footballer believes that the difference between Real Madrid and Barça this year is that the white team has been able to move forward from locked duels, where they did not deserve victory: “Madrid has won many games without playing well, and I think it is something that we have to improve next season,” commented Lewandowski.

Likewise, the striker, who hopes to “score more goals” next year than in his first season in Barcelona, ??has recognized that this campaign can help the youngsters “gain experience.” “When I think about the Champions League, I only think in a match, in the second leg against PSG. It was a tough day, but this experience is very important for us. Now it is difficult to digest, but thinking about the future it can be very important,” declared the 35-year-old footballer.

The forward also spoke about the youngest player in the squad, Lamine Yamal: “Lamine has played very well, he is a star who is only 16 years old with a great future. From the beginning of the season until now I can say that he has taken a step forward.”

Furthermore, Lewandowski has indicated that his relationship with the Spanish international is very good, despite some disagreements on the field of play: “I have a great connection with him. I have experience and I want to help him with his mentality, because it is very important that he has his feet on the ground thinking about the long term,” stated the Barça forward.
