The wide variety of electric vehicles that are already on the market shows that we are immersed in a new era when it comes to urban mobility. And the possibilities are really high when it comes to choosing between the wide range of zero-emission mobility solutions both for daily trips and for pure fun.

A new and interesting alternative designed to combine both uses regardless of the type of terrain or the time of year is featured by the particular Skick electric scooter. What differentiates this electric vehicle from most of its competition is its great versatility, since it is designed to ride in environments that include everything from dry or wet asphalt to dirt tracks and even snowy roads.

Designed and manufactured in Finland by Arctic Rides, the Skick electric scooter has a three-wheel design and two separate platforms (one for each foot) for greater stability. In addition, it offers an adjustable ground clearance that can be modified without the use of any type of tool. Its structure is made of steel, a material combined with some aluminum elements.

The handlebar is similar to that of a bicycle and allows for easy maneuverability. To offer even greater versatility and be able to move on very snowy terrain, the rear wheels can be removed and skis placed in their place. Hydraulic disc brakes, parking brake and excellent lighting ensure safe driving even in the most demanding conditions.

When used as a conventional scooter on asphalt or gravel, it rolls on a large all-terrain front tire and two adjustable rear tires. Used with rear skis, it basically slides on the snow and, in addition to its electric propulsion, in this case it also allows moving without it, for example for descents.

The vehicle integrates a powerful 1,000 W electric motor that allows it to reach a maximum speed of 25 km/h. The ion battery that powers the motor is removable and housed in a lockable hood. In terms of autonomy, this battery offers between 40 and 55 km of range depending on the user’s weight, the slope and the driving circumstances.

It must be taken into account that the entire electrical system is optimized for correct operation even at low temperatures. In terms of proportions, the scooter measures 117 x 79 x 81 cm, while its weight is 48 kg. Its structure is foldable, which makes it easy to store or transport it in the trunk of the car when it is going to be used in remote destinations.

The Skick is available in black, green and red, and has a price of 3,690 euros. To see how it behaves in full action, you just have to take a look at the video that accompanies this article.
