The railway service between the Parets del Vallès and Les Franqueses del Vallès stations, in the Rodalies area of ??Barcelona, ??has been suspended since the start of the service due to the theft of the catenary cable, Adif and Renfe sources have informed. This suspension of train traffic affects the convoys of the R3 de Rodalies line, which covers the route between L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona) and Puigcerdà (Girona).
While the damage caused by the theft by Adif technicians is being repaired, the Renfe company has rescheduled the service of line R3.
In this way, the train service is maintained between Puigcerdà and Les Franqueses, an alternative road service has been established between Les Franqueses and Parets, and the journey between Parets and L’Hospitalet also continues to be made by train.
Renfe is reporting the incident through its communication and customer service channels. Last Thursday, another theft of copper cable between the Tarragona and Torredembarra stations affected the trains that circulated on the conventional gauge line, including those on the Rodalies lines R15 and R16, causing average delays of 40 minutes that day. .
On the other hand, traffic between El Prat de Llobregat and Barcelona Airport station has also been interrupted for more than an hour due to the breakdown of a train, which has affected the Rodalies R2 line. Trains have gradually recovered their usual frequencies, according to Adif. Travelers from the airport station have been directed to the Metro line L9 station.
