Quico is a TMB bus driver who runs the neighborhood bus on line 118, in Vallvidrera. This Sunday he was retiring, and the neighbors prepared a surprise farewell for him to thank him for his years of dedication.
One of the organizers of the surprise has shared the video of the moment on social networks, ensuring that “today you will hardly see anything more beautiful than that.” The scene is really emotional. The residents of the Mas Sauró area were waiting for the bus at the Torrent del Rovelló street stop and welcomed Quico by chanting his name between applause and hugs.
“What is all this? What bastards!” he said through tears, amazed by the surprise and affection of the neighborhood.
In a second tweet, the neighbor who recorded the video highlights that Quico has earned this farewell full of affection “with humanity and showing that you can work in a different way. Leaving the elderly at the door of the house instead of doing it in the stop or giving the phone to the neighbors so that we could let them know if we were two minutes late for the last bus of the night to wait for us.”
Dozens of users commented on the video and celebrated this example of “community complicity.” “Very nice. It shows that we are all important to everyone. You have to give value to others, to the one who takes you to the bus, to the one who sells you bread, to the one who makes a copy of your keys,” comments one user. “This document shows that there is still humanity,” writes another.
“How exciting”, “how emotional” or “beautiful things still happen in the world”, are other comments that the publication has generated.
