Climbing Turó de l’Home, with a lot of wind and cold, I have portrayed these blocks and shapes of ice, which we can see in this report in La Vanguardia’s Readers’ Photos.
The cold seems to refuse to disappear completely on the way to the top of Montseny and the spring snow makes itself felt as if it did not want to give way to the higher temperatures and the summer landscape yet.
Turó de l’Home is the highest mountain of the Montseny massif, with a height of 1712 meters, above the summits of Les Agudes and El Matagalls.
Montseny is one of the busiest and most popular natural parks, largely due to its proximity to the Barcelona area. It is located in the Catalan pre-coastal mountain range, between the regions of Osona, Vallès Oriental and La Selva.
The pronounced reliefs it presents and the rich ecological variety stand out. For this reason, in 1978 UNESCO declared it a biosphere reserve.
