Cupra launches the sportiest version of the Born, identified – like other equivalent versions of the range – with the name VZ (corresponding to the first and last letter of the fast term). In this case, the model has an electrical block of 240 kW (326 HP) and 545 Nm. This engine allows it to reach a top speed of 200 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds.

The brand has improved the dynamic behavior of the compact with optimized brake feel, a more robust suspension and greater steering and pedal sensitivity. This variant is distinguished externally from the rest of the range by its exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels – including one forged -, the VZ emblem on the rear and the new body colors. The interior is more Racing: it has CUPBucket seats as standard and regenerative shift paddles on the steering wheel.

“The Cupra Born was a milestone for the brand when we launched it in 2021 as our first 100% electric vehicle. Its reception in the market has been exceptional. Last year, 45,300 units were sold, which represented an increase of 44.4% compared to the previous year,” said Wayne Griffiths, CEO of Cupra. “With the Born VZ we increase the performance of this model, demonstrating once again that electrification and performance combine perfectly.”
