The Catalan Water Agency (ACA) has called for a new line of aid for the transport of water in tanker vehicles and the execution of emergency actions, with a budget of 2 million euros. This is the fifth subsidy that is awarded between 2022 and 2024 to alleviate the lack of water in municipalities with vulnerable catchments.

The aid will range between 30 and 95% of the total cost, depending on the census population, with a limit of 100,000 euros

It will cover expenses incurred between January 1 and December 31, 2023 and applications can be submitted until March 31, 2024.

The subsidies may be used to co-finance the transportation of water in tanker trucks and the execution of emergency actions.

The ACA, between 2022 and 2023, had already granted four lines of aid of this type, with a total contribution of more than 4 million euros for 213 subsidies.

Since activating the Drought Plan in September 2021, the agency has allocated a total of 189 million euros through various lines of aid to guarantee supply.
