The Kardashians have paid tribute to the family’s former patriarch, Robert Kardashian, on his 80th birthday. The father of the most televised family in the United States died at the age of 59, just two months after being diagnosed with esophageal cancer. His three daughters and his son Rob wanted to send him a message and remember him on this important date.
The eldest of the Kardashians, Kourtney, was the first of the sisters to pay tribute to the renowned lawyer on her official Instagram account. The founder of the edible supplement brand Lemme shared a photograph where she appears with her father. “What I wouldn’t give to sing her happy birthday and hear one of her funny jokes one last time,” Kourtney confessed in the publication.
Robert’s middle daughter, Kim Kardashian, shared an image of herself skiing with her father and sister Kourtney. Along with the publication she wrote a small text in which she remembered the moments she spent with Robert: “I can’t ski without thinking about you. I will always remember the trips and memories you made with us.” The SKIMS founder called his father “wonderful,” “funny,” “charismatic,” and “patient.”
For her part, the youngest of the sisters, Khloe, dedicated a video with different snapshots of the lawyer accompanied by a text where she admitted not being sad and confessed that she felt lucky to have been able to share 19 years of her life with “the most incredible man” who has known.
As for the only boy in the family, Rob, he also remembered his late father with a somewhat shorter message than his sisters: “Happy birthday, dad! Thank you for giving me only good memories with you. I miss you every day. I love you very much”.
The patriarch of the Kardashian family was known for being a successful lawyer who rose to fame after defending his friend, former American football player, OJ Simpson. Robert defended the player in his trial in which he was accused of the murder of his wife in 1994.
Before becoming known, the lawyer was married to Kris Jenner, the mother of the Kardashian sisters, from 1978 to 1991. Despite their divorce, both maintained a very good relationship.
So much so, that Kris also wanted to share a small dedication to her ex-husband. The Kardashians’ mother wrote on Instagram: “Happy birthday, Robert. You would be very proud of our children. “We all love you and miss you.”
The well-known lawyer also founded several music companies before taking his big step into the world of law. Among them, his children stand out: a commercial publication called Radio
In July 2003, the lawyer was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and ended up dying 8 weeks after receiving the news. The family has opened up on multiple occasions about how they experienced the sudden loss of Robert, and has claimed to keep him very much in mind.
So much so, that during Kim’s 40th birthday, her now ex-husband, singer Kanye West, decided to give her a big surprise. The rapper gave him a hologram where Robert Kardashian appeared.
The hologram emitted an exact reproduction of the deceased lawyer’s voice. In this one, her father congratulated her on her studies in Criminal Law, an interest she shared with him, and wished him a happy birthday.
“It is so real that we watched it over and over again, filled with many tears and emotions. “I can’t even describe what this meant to me and my sisters,” Kim confessed after learning of her surprise.
