Survivors 2024 is slowly becoming one of the most complete editions in the history of the contest. The challenge of surviving the stay and coexistence on a remote island in Honduras attracts many eyes, as well as the confirmations of Arancha del Sol, Arkano, Javier Ungría, Ángel Cristo Jr. or Carmen Borrego, among others. A trend that has continued this afternoon on Telecinco, with the announcement of a new addition.
Televisero has revealed in advance the signing of Pedro García Aguado for the new edition of the Mediaset reality show. The former water polo player and television presenter, known for being the face of the Spanish version of Hermano Mayor, returns to the ranks of Fuencarral and will head to the contest stage in the coming weeks. A signing that brings a new patina to this year’s long list of participants.
After moving to Barcelona in 1986, Aguado would become one of the most prominent figures in water polo in Spain. He competed in four consecutive Olympic Games, winning a silver medal in Barcelona 1992 and a gold medal in Atlanta 1996. He played 565 games with the Spanish national team and was also proclaimed world champion in 1998. In 2001, he received the medal gold of the Royal Order of Sports Merit.
However, his problems with drugs have also made him one of the most recognized faces in the fight for second chances. Through books and conferences throughout Spain, she exposed his problem during his sporting career and wanted to become an example of improvement, helping those who needed it most as a support figure. From there arose his role as presenter of Hermano Mayor en Cuatro.
This arrival adds to the latest addition announced, that of Carmen Borrego, who has left a striking moment in Así es la vida, the program where María Teresa Campos’ daughter collaborates. “I don’t know if I can do it right or wrong, I’ll come back the next day because at least I will have tried. For me, the important thing is not to disappoint myself,” she expressed, before meeting the surprise call from her husband, José Carlos.
“I am worried because I know the challenge she is going to face and the only thing I want is to give her a lot of encouragement, a lot of strength because she is capable and I know that she is going to put all her effort into it (…) the thought of How is the family, how are we all, if everything is in order. And everything will be fine, we will be supporting her and that is what worries me that at first she will be able to control that and if she is capable everything will be much easier,” she explained.
