Hunter Schafer has become one of the most popular faces on television and the big screen in recent years. The actress became popularly known in 2019 thanks to her participation in the HBO series Euphoria, where she plays the character of Jules Vaughn.
But the successful HBO series has not been her only great project that has catapulted her to fame, since the performer conquered the hearts of all followers of The Hunger Games saga, thanks to the recent premiere of its prequel, The Games of hunger: ballad of songbirds and snakes.
However, the actress has monopolized all the media focus in recent hours for a reason that has nothing to do with her career in the world of acting. And as confirmed by the Jewish and anti-Zionist organization Jewish Voice for Peace, Hunter Schafer had been arrested for participating in a demonstration in New York City with said organization.
And as the group revealed, the Euphoria interpreter had been present at a rally called in New York, of about fifty people, with the aim of sabotaging the appearance of the president of the United States, Joe Biden, on the Late program. NBC’s Night with Seth Meyers.
The actress attended the demonstration wearing a T-shirt calling for an “immediate ceasefire” in Gaza. “Hunter was arrested at the protest, along with 50 other people. We appreciate her commitment to the freedom of the Palestinian people and to a more just future for all,” reported one of the spokespersons for the Jewish and anti-Zionist organization.
Furthermore, according to the images and videos published on social networks by the group responsible for the concentration, the protesters were critical of Joe Biden’s foreign policy and asked, with messages on different banners, “the end of the siege of Israel to Gaza” and to “stop sending weapons to a genocide. At the moment, neither the actress nor her representatives have commented on the matter or issued a statement, but it has come to light that Schafer has already been released.
