The restoration of the facades of the Tarragona Praetorium tower has been completed five months ahead of schedule.

The reason has been the increase in material and human resources that the company in charge of the work has put in place to finish the work before the arrival of the swifts, a protected species that has nests in the tower and that would have forced the work to stop.

In fact, the works already started later than desired precisely because the birds had not yet migrated. Thus, they have lasted seven months, instead of the planned twelve.

The cleaning and consolidation of the walls has made it possible to dignify the monument and at the same time recover the original color of the stone. The latest work has also revealed an old archway that is considered medieval.
