The Popular Party does not plan to slow down its siege of the Government, and the PSOE, due to the revelations of the Koldo case and this Friday it focused its fire on the president of Congress, Francina Armengol, whom it has asked to resign due to her involvement in the plot by understanding that the Balearic Executive that presided during the pandemic was aware of and active collaborator in an alleged scam in the purchase of masks linked to the advisor of the then minister José Luis Ábalos.

Popular sources have reported that the situation of the president of Congress “is now absolutely unsustainable”, because, according to the investigation related to the Koldo case, she accepted and paid for defective medical supplies even though she knew that it did not protect against covid-19 and that it put at risk risked the lives of those who used it.

In this sense, the main opposition party states that the former Balearic president led a Government that “was aware of and an active collaborator in an alleged scam.”

The hard core of Genoa emphasizes that Armengol “paid it with European funds even though it was prohibited, he stored it even though it was useless and the day he left the Presidency of the Balearic Islands he asked for the money back to try to protect himself politically.”

And they add that “The Lady”, as she is cited in the investigation by the members of the plot, did so after having been able to break the Contract Law.

In the opinion of the popular, the third authority of the State, whose actions are being investigated by the European Prosecutor’s Office, cannot be under suspicion and must leave to preserve the decorum of the institution he presides over. In this legal battle, the PP has committed to “pursue the corruption of the PSOE with all possible intensity.”

Despite the counterattack by the PSOE asking the PP for explanations and responsibilities for the presence of the name of its spokesperson, Miguel Tellado, in the summary, the general secretary of the popular party, Cuca Gamarra, has denied contacts between her party and Koldo García Izaguirre, and He has described it as “indecent” for the PSOE to ask for explanations for “something that did not happen.”

According to a court order dated February 7, Koldo García told an investigator of the plot that “he had arranged to meet Miguel Tellado and ‘Alberto’ the next day.” As specified, the alleged ‘brain’ of the plot, businessman Juan Carlos “Cueto, contacted Ábalos’ former advisor on December 2, 2023 and he informed him that they had just called him and that he had arranged to meet Miguel Tellado and ‘Alberto’ the next day”.

Tellado himself has denied having met with Koldo García Izaguirre, the former advisor of former minister José Luis Ábalos who is being investigated in a plot of alleged commission collection in pandemic contracts, and has assured that his only relationship with that network is sharing the seats of the hemicycle.
