The new edition of Masterchef is causing a lot of talk. A few days ago, fans of the Spanish Television culinary format complained on social networks about the low level that the vast majority of contestants presented, as well as the ease of some of the challenges they are choosing for this season.

However, it had been a long time since a situation like yesterday had been experienced in the cooking competition. After a few tense episodes and despite having avoided the elimination test, Tamara decided to leave the competition to prioritize her mental health, since she did not feel strong enough to continue.

”I’m leaving, I’m saying goodbye voluntarily because I don’t feel comfortable. I am also not giving everything I would like and I am constantly nervous, in tension, pressure… I understand that it is a program, we all make a decision and I want to make this one,’ the candidate explained honestly.

The woman shared ”with all the love in the world” with those present that she had entered into a dynamic in which she did not enjoy and that it seemed more important to her to be well herself than to not disappoint the judges.

While some of his teammates were excited and Tamara was opening her mouth, Jordi Cruz was very angry and wanted to end the situation quickly:  ”Pepe is asking you questions. I wouldn’t do any to you. He would just tell you: ‘Very good. Bye”’.

Said and done, when Samantha finished speaking, Cruz decided to exploit the drama and uttered the phrase (‘very good, bye’) while approaching the girl and asking for the apron. Once she handed it to him, the chef did not say goodbye and simply kicked Tamara out of the space, indicating her way out: “Her door is hers.”

Jordi Cruz’s attitude did not surprise viewers, since the chef is characterized by his tough and strict personality. However, a large part of viewers have expressed on social networks that the scene exceeded all limits and that Tamara had every right in the world to take care of her mental health.

The issue has exploded online and even national political figures such as Mónica García have taken a position on the issue. ”It is absolutely intolerable that what just happened on Masterchef is broadcast on public television”, ”Then we fill our mouths talking about mental health”, ”María del Monte and Patricia Conde walked so that Tamara could running” or ”Prioritizing emotional well-being over frenetic paces of life is not selfishness, but a brave decision” are some of the comments that can be read on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter).
