The seventeenth edition of Forinvest started yesterday with the push for the challenges of artificial intelligence and the infinite capabilities it already brings to the global economy, as highlighted by Alberto Granados, president of Microsoft Spain. Granados was the guest speaker at the Finance Night, the event that serves as a prelude to the celebration of the six Forinvest forums this Wednesday and Thursday and which brought together half a thousand personalities from around the world at the Feria Valencia Events Center political, financial and business.

In his speech, the president of Microsoft – who recently announced together with his global CEO and the president of the Government of Spain an investment in our country close to two billion euros – spoke with the journalist and presenter of the gala Susana Lluna and highlighted the importance of “a unique phenomenon, similar to the birth of the printing press and that transformed the economy worldwide.” Granados explained that the key is that “we have been trying to talk to computers for many years and now they are the ones who talk to us” in an opportunity that means that companies “can rethink their business models.”

In this sense, the president of Microsoft Spain ventured that “in a very short time, 90% of the draft documents that are generated will be made by Generative Artificial Intelligence (IAG).”

In fact, Alberto Granados does not speak generically of the IAG but rather speaks of “co-pilots” who, for example, in the field of business can exponentially increase “creativity and productivity” in areas such as the marketing sector, sales, contact center or legal, “in general any scenario that handles large volumes of information.” The head of Microsoft did not want to avoid the dangers posed by the IAG, encouraging us to “lose fear” and bet on cybersecurity to generate safe codes and environments.

Ruth Merino inaugurates The Night of Finances

Prior to the presentation by Alberto Granados, the Minister of Finance, Economy and Public Administration, who this year makes her debut as head of the Forinvest Organizing Committee, Ruth Merino, was in charge of opening the events of La Noche de Las Finanzas. In her speech, Merino defended “the inspiration that Forinvest gives off, which is a powerful engine to promote the growth and productivity of the business and financial fabric.”

In this sense, Ruth Merino appealed to act by “establishing fiscal policies that provide support and confidence; a fiscal policy that neither suffocates nor scares away, but rather embraces investments; “an easy and agile bureaucracy, with a ramp to gain momentum, as well as a policy that deploys actions to retain talent, improving the connection between universities and companies, forming human capital capable of making the best decisions and being a generator of value” .
