The utmost concern continues for the state of health of Isabel Pantoja. This past Wednesday, April 24, the tonadillera team announced by surprise through social networks the cancellation of their next concert, scheduled for April 30 at the Tenerife Fairgrounds, for health reasons.
After announcing the unexpected news, rumors and speculation about his state of health did not take long to appear. The journalist Antonio Rossi was the first to reveal that the artist had suddenly had to travel to Córdoba to go to the hospital where her ailments were being treated.
Hours later, journalist Isabel González claimed on the set of And Now Sonsoles that the singer had had to be hospitalized for kidney problems. Information that was denied minutes later by collaborator Paloma García-Pelayo, who confirmed that the tonadillera was resting in Cantora.
”She is at home and a doctor has seen her (…) Since the concert in Madrid, her health has suffered and the ailments she has had for a long time prevent her from having normal mobility and they have indicated 15 days as “minimum rest,” he revealed.
Now, just as the first 24 hours of the announcement have passed, journalist Gema López revealed on Susanna Griso’s program, Espejo Público, what illness Isabel Pantoja was really suffering from and that had prevented her from continuing with her professional commitments.
”He has been suffering from thrombophlebitis for a long time. What they tell me is that she has been treated for this condition in recent months. Furthermore, every time she goes to a concert she takes a person, who curiously is Anabel Pantoja’s partner, to massage her leg area before going on stage and once the performance is over because there are many hours on her feet and with the heels she wears,” she explained.
Thrombophlebitis is an inflammatory disease that causes the formation of blood clots and blocks one or more veins, usually located in the legs. According to the Antena 3 collaborator, the singer tried until the last moment to avoid canceling the concert, but the doctors advised her to rest completely in order to resolve the illness. ”She is not prepared to get on stage and stay standing for so long,” stressed Gema López.
