The 29th edition of the Falset Wine Fair hopes to repeat last year’s 35,000 visitors next weekend, from May 3 to 5. There will be an exhibition with wines from 61 wineries from the DO Qualified Priorat and DO Montsant, and the possibility of visiting the wineries in the region during the month of May.

The mayor of Falset, Carles Brull, states that this fair has become “a great showcase for the excellence of Priorat and Montsant wines”, and adds that it is “the great festival of the region”. For the second year, the Fira del Vi will have a wine collection point for visitors. And there will be promotions, discounts and incentives for buyers.

On Friday, May 3, there are already two outstanding events: The Tasting of Whites at Aguiló Vinateria in the apse of the Castell de Falset and the 14th Carinyenes tasting in Porrera. On day 4 they will take over the Tasting of the Mines in Bellmunt del Priorat, the Tasting with women and the Wine-Night in Gratallops and the great Tasting with Llops de Gratallops, which is in its 17th edition with 26 wineries.

On May 5, the Tast de Cal Compte, in Torroja del Priorat, stands out. And at the Aspic restaurant in Falset you can taste the new products from Vall Llach (tomorrow, Sunday), they will bring together the winemakers Sílvia Puig, Sandra Doix, Sara Pérez and René Barbier Meyer (May 1 and 5), they will celebrate the 25 years of Mas Alta (day 4) and they will organize a blind wine competition (day 18).

The third edition of the Tasting of Rosés is being prepared for the 31st of May at the Falset-Marçà Cooperative, and on the 1st of June the Tasting of Magnums will return to the Castle of Falset. This year, in which there will be no shortage of gastronomic offers, the musical line-up is enhanced in alliance with FIM de Vila-seca and the Garbinada Pop festival. Andrea Motis, 2princesesbarbudes, Hugo Arán, Triquell or Maria Jacobs will perform in falsetto.
