The Homicide and Missing Persons Group of the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police (UOPJ) of the Civil Guard has arrested two men accused of the violent death of a woman in the Valencian town of Rafelcofer.

As reported by the Armed Institute, those arrested are two men aged 44 and 46 and of Spanish nationality and are accused of the murder of the 65-year-old woman, a resident of Rafelcofer, who was allegedly stabbed several times. As confirmed this Tuesday by the Government delegate in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, one of the detainees is a resident of Rafelcofer and the other is from a nearby town. “The two detained people had previous records and there is no personal or emotional relationship between the detainees and the victim,” Bernabé confirmed.

The lifeless body of the woman, a retired teacher, was found last Sunday, April 28, in her home in Rafelcofer.

After that, the Civil Guard opened an investigation that culminated in the arrest of these two people. The Investigative Court number 3 of Gandia has taken charge of the case.
