Starting this week, La Vanguardia subscribers have a new service that will allow them to listen to a selection of the main news of the day every morning, on any device, as written by their leading journalists.

The new playlist format works identically to how you enjoy a Spotify list or any other major music and audio platform. But in this case, the protagonist is a daily selection of the best journalism that La Vanguardia offers.

The playlist includes the most notable information of the day: from current political, international, cultural or economic topics to the most social and local reports that you will only find in this newspaper. It can be accessed from Monday to Friday, between 7 and 10 in the morning, through a prominent access located under the header of the digital cover.

This new service is part of the newspaper’s permanent objective of being present and championing the adaptation of quality journalism to the new formats and consumption habits of readers. With the addition of this new information format, subscribers can stay informed while preparing breakfast, commuting to work, or doing any other task.

In addition to offering a new way to access information for subscribers, this service also represents an important improvement for people with some type of visual difficulty or disability.

To enjoy the service, newspaper subscribers just have to press play (from the mobile app or from any browser if registered) and the audio reading of the selected articles will be activated. Jumping from one news item to another is as easy as changing songs in any playlist and readers also have a function that allows them to speed up their reading pace. Software trained with artificial intelligence seeks to offer the best and most natural intonation possible.

The playlist is an evolution of the news audio reading service that subscribers already have at their disposal in practically all news since the end of 2021. Since then, the format has been very well received and around 150,000 reproductions are generated every month , to which those from the new playlist will now be added.
