Zheng Yasui and Liu Shuo are a Chinese couple who got married at the Tibidabo amusement park in Barcelona. The most curious thing about the wedding is that it had sixty strangers as guests, according to Catalan News, ACN’s English-language media.

“We are from China and it is the first time we come to Barcelona,” explained Zheng Yasui on the eve of the wedding. The couple is a lover of Spanish architecture and culture, and they consider Barcelona as “one of the most recommended places to visit.”

The Catalan capital was the first choice when the couple decided to get married outside of China. In fact, the wedding took place there, and what was done at Tibidabo was the party. To give a different point, they decided to organize an event through the Meetup application, a social network designed to carry out actions of this type – both physically and virtually – between people with similar interests.

The couple thought that a panoramic setting like Tibidabo would be “too quiet” if the two of them were doing the wedding alone, and that’s why they decided to open the event to people willing to sign up, even if they didn’t know each other. The initiative brought together 220 people who confirmed through the application that they would attend the wedding, but in the end only 60 witnessed their union.

A scenario that until the last moment caused discomfort to the couple due to the storm that sprayed a good part of Catalonia on Monday, but that this Tuesday there was a truce that they took advantage of to celebrate one of the most special days of the couple’s life. “We hope that everyone who has shared this special occasion with us had a good time and left with good memories.”
