Ángela Dobrowolski appeared this morning in the Criminal Court No. 19 of Barcelona accused of a crime of injuries in the family environment. According to the case, at Easter 2019 she had a strong argument with her then husband and father of her children, the producer Josep Mª Mainat, which led to a violent attack: the prosecution maintains that Dobrowolski threw a wooden box with medication, hit him with a piano stool and chasing him to the kitchen, grabbed a jar of jam with which he hit him on the left temple. Mainat did not claim compensation for this unfortunate episode.
Dobrowoski appeared before his lordship wearing a white blouse, pink skirt and knee-high stockings. His hair, on this occasion, was the same fuchsia tone as his skirt, giving him a disturbing otaku appearance. It was just a facade. During her brief oral hearing, the accused remained with her hands held and in a submissive attitude: she accepted the charges and did not make any objections.
Thus, the sentence has been handed down ‘in voce’, that is, at the time of the end of the trial: the accused is sentenced to eight months in prison for a crime of domestic violence, prohibited from possessing weapons for two years and a day and a new restraining order of one thousand meters and prohibition of communication with the victim by any means within a period of one year and eight months.
Both the judge and the prosecutor have been kind to Dobrowolski, offering to suspend the prison sentence (which would be added to the one he is currently serving) if he does not offend again in three years, he undergoes a re-education course on domestic violence. , observe the restraining order for a period of three years and comply with a fine of five euros per day for four months. The defense of the accused has accepted the proposal.
The trial, which should have been held last January, was suspended due to the victim’s failure to appear. And of her, although the accused could have been tried in her absence because it is a crime whose sentence is less than two years. Mainat, forced to attend as a witness, apologized because he had not received the summons, but the judge denied the veracity of the pretext and fined him 500 euros.
On July 15, the hearing that will judge Ángela Dobrowolski for the crime of attempted murder will begin, the penalty for which could reach 16 years in prison. The prosecution considers that she tried to end the life of her husband, from whom she was in separation proceedings, in the early hours of June 22 to 23, 2020 by injecting him with insulin to cause a hypoglycemic coma.
