The Local Police of Valencia have identified the car supposedly involved in the accident that left an eight-year-old child seriously injured at a pedestrian crossing. However, the owner of the vehicle could not be located at his home, as Europa Press has learned.

The events occurred last Sunday, when the driver of a BMW fled after running over and seriously injuring an eight-year-old boy who was crossing a pedestrian crossing on Hermanos Machado Avenue with Moncada Road, along with a family member.

The driver of the BMW ran a red light and recklessly overtook other vehicles that were stopped in the stop line when he hit the minor. The Local Police have recorded the pre-hit and escape trajectory of the vehicle, which is gray in color and lacks the left rearview mirror.

The injured minor was treated by the medical team of a SAMU unit for several injuries: head trauma, chest trauma, pelvic contusions and fracture of the femur of both legs. Subsequently, he was transferred to the Clinical Hospital of Valencia, indicated the Emergency Information and Coordination Center (CICU).
