The 22nd edition of Primavera Sound will take place from May 29 to June 2 at the Parc del Fòrum. Barcelona City Council has taken measures to reduce the hours of 24-hour food establishments and restaurants.

The 24-hour food establishments that are close to the Parc del Fòrum will have to close to the public between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. during the five days that the festival lasts, with the aim of avoiding crowds at the exit of the festival. the concerts, municipal sources allege.

In relation to restoration, this will suffer limitations from May 31 to June 2 and they will have to open at 8 in the morning, instead of 6, their usual opening hours.

David Escudé, the councilor of the Sant Martí district, explains that these measures have been carried out with different neighborhood associations. “These are actions that have helped us alleviate the inconvenience of the residents of the area,” says David.

The measures were already implemented last year to encourage residents to rest and to avoid the consumption of alcoholic beverages on public roads. Escudé assures that a package of measures has been created to have the best functioning in the festival environments. “We continue with the increase in security these days to control all access to the park, in the same way we reinforce mobility to the environment and the enclosure.” From the council they affirm that cleanliness has been one of the most acclaimed issues by neighbors, who pay the consequences of incivility.

Beyond the measures presented, the Guàrdia Urbana will carry out surveillance actions in public spaces and will promote citizen security. In addition, itineraries will be created to avoid crowds of people on the streets with the most homes.
