The 68th edition of Eurovision already has its main favorites to win. Unfortunately, the Spanish Nebulossa, who are already classified as belonging to the Big Five, are not in this shortlist. Yes, there is the young artist Marko Puriši?, known by his stage name Baby Lasagna, who will represent Croatia on the Swedish stage with the song Rim Tim Tagi Dim.

The Croatian candidacy has managed to position itself as one of the favorites of Eurofans despite the fact that its lyrics are sad. In her song, Baby Lasagna addresses a recurring theme: the rural exodus that many young people in Europe face.

Through painful lyrics that contrast with an upbeat rhythm, it describes how a boy is forced to leave his home, his family and his cat due to anxiety attacks, a complicated decision that illustrates a harsh reality for many.

In the months leading up to the festival, bookmakers are already offering odds for the event, even before all the songs are released, resulting in inaccurate initial predictions. However, as the festival date approaches, betting rankings begin to more accurately reflect trends among Eurofans.

The information on who could win is extracted from the average of bets placed by users on various online portals, from which a percentage of probability of victory is calculated for each participant. Although this data is not definitive or mandatory, it acts as an indication of how the contest could develop.

This year’s Croatian proposal has reigned in all the predictions: since mid-February, the song has remained at the top of the most reliable ranking and currently has a 37% chance of winning – Switzerland follows with 16% -. Even Baby Lasagna himself has been very surprised by the great reception his catchy song has had.
