The creators Andreu Martínez and Magda Puig Torres, resident artist of the Teatre Lliure, play to surprise the public in Thauma, a visual montage that plays to alter the perception of things and that mixes circus, dance, magic and theater objects.
“He’s a wonderful boss, who keeps discovering landscapes”, declares Puig. “We were inspired by the comic and there are objects with remote control. And on stage we’ve looked for people who are very virtuous with their bodies, to create these moments of wonder, but it’s not dance or circus. It is an artisanal, analogue creation of the companies of old”.
“In front of the sleepy look, we want to show this look of wonder, from the beautiful and unexpected”, adds Martínez. “The forms are not said in a direct, literal way, but through poetry”.
The remote control pilot Erol Ileri, the verticalist Juan Carlos Panduro and the dancer Marina Rodríguez perform this “scenic poem”, which can be seen from May 10 to 26 at the Espai Lliure de Montjuïc.
