The former socialist president of the Community of Madrid, Joaquín Leguina, who was appointed president of the Chamber of Accounts of Madrid at the proposal of the Government of Isabel Díaz Ayuso, appointed his wife Lucinda Álvarez Molinero on April 19 as head of the Secretariat of Presidency.

This is a freely appointed position, which can be chosen by the president of said body. It is a coincidence that Leguina had just taken office the day before.

Leguina was president of the Community of Madrid for 12 years, from 1983 to 1995, but in 2022 he was expelled from the PSOE for asking to vote for the current president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso.

According to the Transparecia Portal of the Community of Madrid, Álvarez Molinero already worked as secretary of Leguina between 2000 and 2015, as eldiario.es reported. She later served as secretary of some Madrid ministry between 2016 and 2021, always with PP governments. Being appointed head of the presidential secretariat of this supervisory body means receiving a specific supplement to her salary of 23,713.92 euros per year.
