The beginning of the week couldn’t be sweeter for Joana Sanz. The model celebrated the 41st birthday of her husband, Dani Alves, with a meaningful congratulations, to which she added a getaway to an undetermined paradise location. The one from Tenerife also made a declaration of intentions: nothing they could say about her disturbed her, because she was completely calm.
However, the criticism towards his attitude and resuming his relationship with the former footballer, recently released from prison after being accused of raping a young woman in a famous nightclub in Barcelona; It seems that they have taken their toll. At least that is what the latest publications from Tenerife show, which have set off all the alarms.
The first of the model’s reflections shows a text that talks about suicide and how the World Health Organization considers it a serious public health problem. Joana Sanz shares the text and highlights one of the parts, which reveals that “a report from the WHO and the United Nations (2017) indicates bullying as an element behind 200,000 suicides among young people per year.”
The model continues to highlight that “all these figures show that suicide is a problem of high social relevance, whose impact justifies the media focus.”
In addition to this text that mentions sources such as the World Health Organization, the model shares another reflection on her Instagram Stories. This time from her own perspective, the Tenerife native believes that “we take too lightly attacking in the media, insulting through a social network or trying to ruin another person’s life just because you have contrary opinions.”
For her, those who have made it their mission to destroy hers are no better than “those who murder at gunpoint.”
“Let’s not forget that words do the same damage as wielding a knife,” he recalls, remembering how “little” mental health is talked about and treated. “So much body worship and beauty, but so much lack of psychological treatment.”
It is not the first time that the model talks about these types of topics. At the end of 2023, the model reflected on the hard year she had had to live – with the loss of her mother and seeing her husband arrested and imprisoned for raping the 23-year-old girl.
Some setbacks that would have led her, as she herself confirmed, to almost take her life “because she couldn’t take it anymore.” The model, as she looked months later, could also have lost a baby in the process. Although the last few months were the hardest of her life, the model proved to be strong and took refuge in her people and her work to move forward and continue her path.
