The Civil Guard has arrested four men and two women, between 19 and 42 years of age, belonging to a criminal organization for attacking the home of a couple to rob them in San Antonio de Benagéber, in Valencia. Apparently, one of the arrested people established a friendship with the victims to later provide information to the rest to commit the robbery.

The events occurred when two hooded men suddenly burst into the house with simulated weapons. Next, they tied the couple living in the house with zip ties and attacked them to get them to tell them where they kept the money, as reported by Benemérita in a statement.

The man managed to escape and confronted the assailants, who attacked him with “great violence.” Likewise, the woman was able to free herself from the restraints and defended herself, thus causing the perpetrators to leave the home. The detainees have managed to steal 400 euros from the house.

As a result of the investigation, the Civil Guard agents have verified that the friend they had invited to the home and who had come with her youngest daughter was actually a hook. Apparently, her task was to befriend the couple to facilitate the subsequent assault and ensure that there would be money in the home. During the assault, this person prevented the residents from being able to defend themselves at all times.

As part of the investigation, the agents have carried out four searches in different homes in Valencia and Toledo, where they have arrested six people and seized various criminal effects, in addition to three simulated weapons. The proceedings have been delivered to the Court of First Instance and Instruction No. 4 of Paterna (Valencia).
