Malmö became the heart of European music with the 68th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. From the first moment, Princess Victoria of Sweden was in charge of welcoming the participants of the musical competition with a short video in which she extended her best wishes to all the delegations.
“It is a great honor to welcome Sweden. I hope you enjoy the show and that all the contestants have the best of luck,” said the heir to the Swedish throne. In addition, Victoria was also at the Malmö Arena as the Royal House of Sweden had confirmed days before.
In this way, during the musical contest, Victoria could be seen enjoying the musical performances from a box. On this occasion, the princess preferred to go to Eurovision without the company of Daniel from Sweden or his children. Despite being alone, it could be seen in images that she had a great time and she was able to enjoy ABBA’s Waterloo anniversary.
The princess, one of the members of the Swedish Royal Family most loved by her subjects, followed in the footsteps of Kate Middleton. The British princess was one of the main protagonists of the last edition of Eurovision, which was held in Liverpool because of the war in Ukraine.
Middleton was in charge of opening the 2023 festival in a very special way. The Princess of Wales sat at the piano to perform a welcome piece with Kalush Orchestra, the Ukrainian group that won the victory in 2022.
