There are 243,003 new voters summoned for the first time to elections in the Parliament

A total of 5,754,840 people are called to vote in the elections to the Parliament of Catalonia on Sunday, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
Of them, 5,460,332 reside in Catalonia: 4,051,040 in Barcelona, ??528,077 in Girona, 300,148 in Lleida and 581,067 in Tarragona.
NEW VOTERS
294,508 voters residing abroad and registered in the Electoral Census of Absent Residents (CERA) may also participate.
This Sunday, 243,003 new voters are being called for elections in the Parliament for the first time, after having reached the age of majority since the last electoral appointment.
LIVE DATA FOR EACH SCHOOL
The election data can be followed in real time through the ‘Eleccions Catalunya 2024’ application, which will offer participation data and the results of the candidacies with the possibility of comparing them with the 2021 call.
For the first time in an election in Spain, live information will be provided for each polling station, in addition to the general data for Catalonia, by constituencies, vegueries, regions and municipalities that are usually provided.
64 APPLICATIONS
A total of 64 candidates are competing in the elections, according to the Official Journal of the Generalitat of Catalonia (DOGC).
Specifically, the provincial electoral boards have proclaimed 16 candidates in Barcelona, ??15 in Girona and also 15 in Lleida, while 18 will compete in Tarragona.
