The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested a 59-year-old man in Vic in connection with the death of his partner, whose disappearance had been reported on April 19.
Agents from the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) of the Central Missing Persons Unit arrested the man in this town on May 11, as reported through a publication on X (formerly Twitter).
The arrest was precipitated when investigators found out that the person under investigation wanted to leave the country. The detainee was handed over to the Vic courts this morning.
The Department of Equality and Feminisms of the Generalitat has expressed its deepest condolences and support to the environment of the woman allegedly murdered by sexist violence, as well as to the residents of the town.
