The chase crossed state lines, traversing the Poplar Street Bridge into St. Louis, before heading west on I-64 and ultimately exiting at Jefferson Avenue. The suspect’s reckless maneuvering continued as they re-entered I-64 heading eastbound, ultimately exiting onto 14th Street, where the crash occurred.
The Crash and Aftermath
The pursuit came to a dramatic conclusion on 14th Street, where the suspect’s SUV collided with a barricade, causing the vehicle to erupt in flames. A second vehicle was also involved in the crash, sustaining damage as a result of the collision. Despite the chaotic scene, fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
